Terms of Service
The legal constitution you accept when joining the Dublio Distributed Localization Platform.
1. Nature of Service and Acceptance
Dublio ("Platform") is a workflow management tool (Orchestrator) with a distributed architecture developed for game localization communities. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these terms as a legally binding contract. Dublio is not a file hosting service (hosting provider), but an interface that allows users to organize their own resources (Google Drive, Computing Power).
2. Distributed Architecture and Disclaimer
Dublio's "Workshop" model is based on files being hosted not on the Platform's servers, but on Users' own connected cloud storage spaces (e.g., Google Drive). Therefore:
- Data Ownership: All responsibility for created projects, translations, and audio files belongs to the user/team connecting the relevant account.
- Hosting Responsibility: Dublio does not host content. Files accessed through the Platform are under the control of the source user. If the source user deletes the file or revokes access, links on the Platform may become non-functional.
- Third-Party Services: It is the User's responsibility to comply with the terms of service (ToS) of third-party services like Google Drive and Google Colab required for the Platform to function. Dublio cannot be held responsible for interruptions, data loss, or account restrictions experienced in these services.
- Google Colab and Runtime Security: The Google Colab notebooks used for packaging and optimization run entirely on environments under the users' own control. If the notebook code is modified by users or managers to inject malware, viruses, or foreign objects into the archive, the full legal and penal responsibility belongs solely to the individuals performing the action. Dublio is in no way responsible for the code executed on users' own runtimes or the files uploaded to the archives.
Penal Sanctions: If unauthorized manipulation of the notebook (Colab) code, storage proxy server, or database sealing processes, data inflation, fake byte-offset generation, or external file injection is detected; the relevant Team and its projects will be permanently closed, and all team leaders and user accounts performing or related to these actions will be permanently banned from the Dublio platform without time limit. The Platform reserves the right to seek recourse for server and storage damages resulting from these violations and to file criminal complaints with judicial authorities.
3. Intellectual Property and Copyrights (DMCA)
The Platform respects intellectual property rights and expects the same from its users.
- Tolerance Policy: The Platform is only for the production of content that is permitted or tolerated ("Mod-Friendly") by publishers.
- Prohibited Content: It is strictly forbidden to share files of games explicitly banned by copyright holders, Crack/Warez content, or original executable (.exe) files of the game through the Platform.
- Infringement Notification: Dublio is not a "Hosting Provider", but upon receiving a copyright infringement notice (DMCA Takedown), it reserves the right to remove the index of the relevant content on the Platform and suspend the infringing account.
4. Commercial Use Restriction (Model A)
Dublio's public community tools ("Workshop") are for non-profit fan projects. Users:
- Cannot directly sell mods or patches created using the Platform.
- Cannot demand mandatory fees from other users for projects on the Platform (except Donations).
- Violation of this rule damages the principles of "Fair Use" and "Tolerance", leading to permanent closure of the account and potentially the team.
5. Account Security and API Usage
The permissions (OAuth) you grant when logging into the Platform with Google or Discord are only used to automate Workshop processes (read/write files). Dublio never uses these permissions to collect unauthorized data. However, ensuring the security of your connected accounts (using 2FA, etc.) is your responsibility.
6. Changes and Effectiveness
Dublio reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Significant changes will be announced via the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform means you accept the updated terms.
