DMCA and Copyright Policy

Respect for intellectual property rights and infringement notification process.

1. Our General Approach

Dublio operates in compliance with 17 U.S.C. § 512 and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). Our platform is an intermediary service provider that allows users to share localization patches they have created. We respect the rights of copyright holders and it is our policy to respond quickly to valid infringement notices.

2. Technical Limitations and Removal Process

Important Notice: Dublio uses a "Distributed Architecture". Large file contents (audio, video) are not hosted on Dublio servers; they are kept in users' own Google Drive accounts.

Therefore, when we receive a valid DMCA notice:

  • We disable access to the relevant content (Project, Mod Page) via Dublio or remove the page completely.
  • We suspend the account of the infringing user.
  • However, technically we cannot control the deletion of content from the user's personal Google Drive account; we can only sever the link (index) on our platform.

3. How to File an Infringement Notice?

If you are a copyright owner or an authorized agent and believe your work has been used without permission, please submit a written notification to us via email containing the following information:

  • A description of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  • The exact URL (Link) on Dublio of the content you want removed.
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a "good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law".
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

4. Repeat Infringers

Dublio strictly enforces a policy of permanently closing accounts and blocking access to the platform for users determined to be repeat infringers of copyright under appropriate circumstances.
